Whether in person or virtually, building relationships and networking is a really important part of achieving career roles. Whether this is approaching your professor for a reference for grad school, reaching out to a professional in your field for an informational interview/coffee chat, or wanting to access the 'hidden' job market, it all relies on being able to talk to others and articulate your goals.
